At this moment, 65.6 million people have been forcibly displaced from their homes, as a result of war, violence, and persecution. Of the 22.5 million now classified as refugees, many are still seeking a place to call home — a safe community where they can begin to rebuild their lives and heal from all they’ve been through. It won’t be easy, but having a stable home is the first step to getting on with their lives.

Some countries are taking incredible strides to find homes for those in need. Some, however — and one in particular *cough* the US *cough* — despite their large populations and ample resources, have fallen short.

Want to see for yourself? Check out how many refugees countries like Turkey, Ethiopia, and Lebanon are hosting in relation to their populations, versus the US and other western countries. It turns out, we could be doing a whole lot more.
